In the de Young in Golden Gate Park has French haute couture. Yves Saint Laurent's career in fashion design from the 1960's to 1990's is amazingly extensive in this venue.
I felt the layout of the floor was disappointing though. They should have put some thought into the traffic flow. They placed and played his fashion video right in the middle of the room (instead of a separate room) blocking the traffic flow while people watch the video. The meas like/patchy layout was confusing too, all disappointing considering his work should have been displayed as well as his beautiful work.
