Embarcadero

Sulinda is wearing a nice outfit, the length and design of the sweater has some play. The scarf has a dash of style and the very cool shoes...fabulous!

Lunette Plus

Bonnie is wearing some pretty cool glasses. How ironic that I just talked about this very thing and then I see Bonnie wearing these hot frames from France. Very cool glasses!

I love it when women wear very little makeup or none, showing their natural beauty at any age. While I was in Antwerp, there's a shoe shop on Nationalstrat that carried some cool shoes, the woman (sales associate) was wearing no makeup, amazing outfit and shoes. Very uber urban chic!

Wilkes Bashford Warehouse Sale

I hear WB has their sale this time of the year. If that's the case, it's worth to see what's for sale if you want a GREAT deal. Last year I bought a jacket and a pair of pants and I was in shock I got them at 80% off! Details to follow...believe me, just don't put gas in the car a couple of times and buy a hot outfit.

Lunette

Europe has embraced the art of eyewear. They have captured an audience that has to wear glasses..fashionable glasses at that. These glasses don't have to be boring and dull at all. Colour, design, mix materials, really work well when it all comes together in good design. Brands such as Alain Mikli, Anne Valentin, IDC, Theo from Belgium are making waves on planet eyes. I have worn glasses all my life and I know some of you have as well. Now eyewear is fun and fabulous!

Embarcadero

Beth is wearing simple, clean and classique designs that I think she looks good in. Her grey skirt ivory sweater works well. Sorry I didn't realize the pic came out a little blurry.

Embarcadero

Anna really stood out today in casual chic. I like how she combined her burgundy lizard bag with her two tone shoes. She took the extra step by wearing pearls. Nice touch!

Viridi-anne Jacket

I like this down jacket, especially the collar treatment and the way they did the zippers look pretty cool. The Archive on Sutter Street has this.

Le Metro

I saw this man in the morning commute. I thought he looked handsome from head to toe in brown in his polished look. Nice work.

Change

We all experience changes, changes in relationships, a new job, a new home, some are easier than others. I felt I needed some major changes in my life so last year I grew my hair out really long for the first time ever from a crew cut, modify my black clothes habit, embracing colours in shirts and jackets, playing with Euro taper pant as they're cut above the ankles for a new look during the day. Today I'm going to buy a pair of Banana Republic chinos, although I don't like the way these pants lay. Do we need to embrace change to remind me that we can liberate, be independent, be well rounded? Sometimes yes, a healing process worth every step of the way from a transparent situation or any valid reason.

Castro

Walking up Market Street today....

Nancy is wearing a hook and eye vest that I like. Her hat is fun.

Thuzy is a fitness trainer ready to go with her Gucci bag.

J' adore Yohji Yamamoto

I always wondered why do I love Yohji Yamamoto's work? As a Korean-American male I was always curious about this question and someone at school answered this the other day.  A Korean student Zoe, she informed me that Yohji Yamamoto is very popular in Korea for men. This explains alot for me, his clothes fits my body like a glove, I don't have to do much alterations on it, very minimal actually. His innovative, creative, fun designs will always be a modern classique today and tomorrow. Je suis content!

Hayes Valley

Sandy is wearing pants that have a peasant design. I noticed the A-line of the pants that really flow well as she walks. They look like a skirt when she stands still.

Double Breasted Jacket

Scott Schuman from the Sartorialist is saying men's double breasted jackets is one way of dressing, or so I read it that way. Funny, I just bought a red double breasted jacket this week. I thought the jacket would be fun to wear with jeans or black pants. Huh, I see in the Dries Van Noten show that he's showing double breasted suits....

Union Square

Rochelle really stood out in a crowd as I was watching her walk. I was impressed with everything she wore today. The skirt moved like a Yohji Yamamoto garment. The jacket has a deep dark green with leopard print lapels. Everything from head to toe, what detail!

Prada Store

I had to visit the new Prada store today in Union Square. I'm disappointed the original Prada store didn't make it to the production stage that was designed by Rem Koolhaas. The structure looked like a giant cheese grater which would have brighten the Union Square area considerably amongst the old-fashion buildings next to each other. Interior-wise I was disappointed as well, I thought the design might look like their New York City store or something similar along that same theme. The sales staff seems friendly, that's a good thing. Oh, they won't carry Miu Miu.

Breakfast at Tiffany's

I just read in the New York Times that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of Breakfast at Tiffany's. Holly was way ahead of her time wearing Givenchy in the early 60's. God kissed Audrey Hepburn on the cheeks!

Shoes n' Boots

I've been getting compliments on my new fashion blog lately, I have to thank everybody that's enjoying this new baby grow. This really is fun for me to find fashion on the streets. Most people do enjoy getting their picture taken as a compliment, thus is mutual when I find cool designs on the streets.

Lydia didn't want her picture taken as I was admiring her socks. Her Pucci-goes-geometric design is really fun with her tweed flats.

Sara is wearing some cool black suede boots. I like the strap across the top with the decorative razor blade (or it looks like that from a distance).

White Trench Coat

Sharon looks classique in her white trench coat. Great piece of garment for San Francisco weather conditions. From day to evening you can't go wrong with a military style trench coat, dress up or dress casual with a trench coat is wonderful.

Trench coats remind of Paris when it rains, a staple in everybody's closet. Even in San Francisco, a perfect piece to have at all times. Perfect!

Gray Suit with Prada Shoes

Ivan looks great in his gray suit. I love the classic white shirt that goes with everything, there is something stark and beautiful about a white shirt applying contrasting colour . The suit has a European cut, as you can see the pants tauper down. He looks good from head to toe in his Prada shoes. Nice job Ivan!

Les Chaussures

Mon Dieu, these shoes are amazing to see what's coming out of Europe for women. Love the designs and selection. Wow...

Jazz Man

Khevan, a musician is dressed in vintage 40's feel from his hat to his shoes. I like the complete look he created. His coat has whip stitches around the lapels. He really went out of his way to have the 40's look.

Labels

We look at Fashion Designers for trends, fabric, designs and status for men and women. For me, looking at concept the way someone puts something together is s t y l e. Style can be bought from vintage stores to H & M to Barney's to Ebay. Concept is what it is all about. Make it yours, make it happy, make it fun!

Union Square, The Metreon

I was heading to see Batman today to meet some friends, on the way there I met:

Robert is wearing a black crepe wool suit, his zipper intrigued me when I saw his jacket. As you can see it buttons as well as zips up. When I looked at the picture, the sleeves look like a different fabric, kinda cool with the different fabric on the sleeves.

Bruce is wearing pink and very passionate about it. His detailing from his eye frames to his bandana to his sneakers is fun and festive. Reminds me of Walter Van Beirendonck in Antwerp Belgium. Fun work Bruce!

Fernando is wearing a nice jacket, casual and nice. Goes great with jeans or dress pants, can't go wrong. More men are wearing jackets these days, this wave is a good thing. C'est classique.

Prada and Pinstripe

Mike looks great in his flared pinstripe pants and black zip-up. The hottest men's accessory is the tote which I really like a lot. Mike looks great with his Prada tote and pinstripe! I hope we can meet again so I can take another pic. Nice style...

Classique Moderne

Kali looks classique in her outfit from head to toe, I like how she accessorized herself as well, simple and stylish. Nice contrasting colors. The sunglasses look great!

Giambattista Valli

Wow...my mouth dropped to the floor to see Giambattista Valli's collection. His play with volume, fabric, cut and design is beautiful, pretty, modern and elegant. J'impression!

Fashion=Relationships

Fashion is like a relationship....

What you feel comfortable wearing is like a special person in your life through calm seas and storms. After awhile we all experiment dating others like a new makeover or a bad one, a matter of the heart. How do we feel when we wear something special, a jacket, shoes, evening dress or even a shirt? Sometimes this takes practice, eventually you'll get to a place where you do know who you are and what you like in clothes and in a mate. An entity of identity, empathy, values, tastes, and emotions. If you have that special black cashmere sweater, maintain it and appreciate that sweater, because that sweater will take care of you to keep you warm when you need it most....today and tomorrow.

I drew this Giambattista Valli dress in charcoal yesterday while studying French. One of the prettiest dresses in a updated French couture style.

Goyard

I was heading to school to take French and I saw Zoe in her classique outfit. I thought she looked casual chic tonight in jeans, trench coat and her fabulous Goyard tote from France. I'm fond of the trench coat look, great traveling piece in any wardrobe. Great bag Zoe!
